The most powerful infrared spectrometer with UltraScanTM interferometer
VERTEX 80 is a top-of-the-line instrument from the VERTEX series of high-performance infrared spectrometers. It offers unique performance and versatility for the most demanding research applications.
VERTEX 80 parameters:
- Covers the entire spectral range from the far, mid, and near IR regions to visible light and ultraviolet radiation
- Precisely adjusted UltraScanTM interferometer with high resolution
- Wide-spectrum DLaTGS detector operating at room temperature
- Improved time resolution and modulation capabilities
UltraScanTM interferometer
The actively adjusted UltraScanTM interferometer ensures MAXIMUM spectral resolution. A linear air bearing with unlimited service life, precise adjustment of the interferometer scanning arm, and TOP-QUALITY optics guarantee maximum sensitivity and stability. Innovative TrueAlignmentTM technology does not lead to artifacts such as false maxima and other noise that can occur in dynamic alignment systems used in other spectrometers.
DigiTectTM detector
Bruker's DigiTectTM detector technology ensures the lowest level of electronic noise. It is based on a modern two-channel delta-sigma analog signal converter with a 24-bit dynamic range integrated into the preamplifier electronics.
Step-Scan
The step-scan technique allows monitoring the temporal evolution of very fast reproducible events (transitions) down to the range of several ns. The interferometer mirror is gradually moved one step at a time to individual points on the interferogram, where the experiment is restarted. The temporal resolution is up to 2.5 ns.
Rapid-Scan
In time-resolved spectroscopy of non-reproducible experiments, data can be obtained using the Rapid-Scan technique. In this case, the interferometer mirrors move very quickly and up to 4 spectra can be extracted from each interferometer scan. Up to 110 spectra per second can be obtained.
