VERTEX NEO Ultra is a top-of-the-line instrument from the VERTEX series of high-performance infrared spectrometers. It offers unique performance and versatility for the most demanding research applications. It is the first to introduce the concept of a "Constant vacuum FTIR spectrometer" to the market – this is the possibility of automated replacement of all optical components (sources, splitters, and detectors) completely automatically without disturbing the internal conditions in the device, and this in the widest possible range from UV, through VIS, NIR, MIR, FIR, to THz!
VERTEX NEO is the first FT-IR spectrometer with a fully evacuated ATR optical path that eliminates atmospheric interference for ultra-precise measurements. This revolutionary technology increases sensitivity and accuracy, enabling the detection of even the finest molecular details.
The VERTEX infrared spectrometer with vacuum optics achieves MAXIMUM sensitivity in the mid, near, and far IR regions without the risk of masking very weak spectral information due to water vapor or CO2 absorption. Excellent results can be obtained, for example, in time-resolved experiments or in nanostructure research – down to the level of monomolecular layers.
Thanks to a new generation of electronics, VERTEX enables faster data collection, which is ideal for monitoring time-sensitive or triggered processes. Thanks to vacuum, it can maintain extremely stable internal conditions (water and CO2 concentration, temperature) over time.
The step scanning technique allows monitoring the temporal development of very fast reproducible events (transitions) down to a range of several ns. The interferometer mirror is gradually moved one step at a time to individual points on the interferogram, where the experiment is restarted. The temporal resolution is up to 2.5 ns.
In time-resolved spectroscopy of non-reproducible experiments, data can be obtained using the Rapid-Scan technique. In this case, the interferometer mirrors move very quickly and up to 4 spectra can be extracted from each interferometer scan. Up to 110 spectra per second can be obtained.
The innovative MultiTect™ system integrates a five-position detector unit operating at room temperature directly into the vacuum environment, while retaining the advantages of DigiTect™ slots. Configuration options include:
Automatic switching between detectors is supported without vacuum interruption, ensuring continuous operation. In addition, the LN₂-cooled detector offers 12-hour temperature stability for long-term experiments.
VerTera is a module that extends the spectral range of the VERTEX vacuum spectrometer into the terahertz region. It offers the unique ability to measure up to 3 cm-1 wavenumbers with an effective spectral resolution better than 0.0007 cm-1, all at room temperature without the need for cryogenic cooling.
